Welcome to my zombie blog!

My name is Shawn, and I will be posting here on a weekly basis with news and reviews of relevance to the zombie genre.

That being said, what exactly is a zombie?

By my definition, any sentient being that is forced to behave in a manner contrary to its natural behavioral patterns due to some external or internal force can be classified as a zombie. Note that this does not cover drunks, as they are not forced to behave any differently so much as they are allowed to choose their actions after having their ability to choose wisely slowly whittled away.

I choose to broaden my definition of the zombie because it is such a volatile staple of the horror genre. Zombies started out as voodoo slaves, then they evolved into the living dead. From there, they went from being slow and horrifying to quick and terrifying. For this reason, I choose to embrace the big picture and love all sorts of zombies.

Anyway, I do hope that I can spread my infectious love for zombies to you, the reader.
